"I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go. Things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they're right. You believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together." - Marilyn Monroe

Kollar Clothing
Toronto may be small compared to other fashion capitals, but it's booming with young, local talent. On October 15, M and I attended a fashion show which introduced Kollar Clothing's Fall/Winter 2011 collection. Kollar Clothing is a Toronto based company that creates high quality clothing for men who want to add an edge to their ensemble. They believe clothing is an art form, rather than a piece of cloth that is worn. Check out their amazing promo video here:

Unfortunately, we were unable to get a picture with David Kollar, co creator of Kollar Clothing. We did, however, snap some shots with fellow Toronto bloggers!

Aaron Basha at Birks
On October 5, B and I had the opportunity to celebrate the partnership between renowned jeweller Aaron Basha and Birks. We were privileged to meet privately with Sasson Basha, President of Aaron Basha, to discuss their prestigious collection. Aaron Basha, known internationally for its unconventional line, is now available at the Birks store in Yorkville as well as Yorkdale and Sherway Gardens.
We absolutely love New York. The fact that the Aaron Basha flagship store is located on Madison Avenue, makes it even more tempting to visit NYC and view all of their breath taking pieces. However, until we can return to The Big Apple, we will be viewing Basha’s whimsical charms at limited Birks in Toronto.
Although the entire collection is highly impressive, the Baby Shoe charms, created to represent the spirit of family, are particularly captivating. With a wide variety to choose from, these shoes are available in countless colours and numerous styles. Shoes from the Baby Shoe Collection can be seen dangling from many A-Listers wrists. The Lifestyle Collection also caught our eye. The intention for this line is to bring the essence of childhood innocence to their charm characters. This collection, including critters and beloved superheroes, combines youthfulness and elegance. This season, Aaron Basha showcased the newest hand-crafted addition to their line, ‘Evil Eye’. This universally recognized symbol appeals to a variety of age groups as well as celebrities and socialites internationally.
It is safe to say that Basha has impeccable taste, and knows exactly how to design luxurious pieces for both men and women.

Art of Fashion
On Saturday, October 1, thousands took to the streets of Toronto to enjoy a variety of events hosted by Nuit Blanche. Art of Fashion, hosted at the Pantages Hotel, was our cup of tea, and therefore our event of choice. Luxurious wine, live music, and incredible fashion set the tone for a 5 star night in the city.
Art of Fashion showcased a number of skillful designers and their incredible pieces. Wearable art. Not only were the unique clothing lines displayed, original compositions were for sale. Naturally, Art of Fashion drew the attention of a number of Toronto's finest style icons.
Here is a look into our night:
