The Field's Annual Afternoon Party

In celebration of The Field's Annual Directors 20 nominations, Ubisoft hosted its annual MMVA afternoon party. Although B and I are not 'star crazy', we were thrilled to attend our very first MMVA gift lounge. The event kicked off with a media tour where we were able to get to know each vendor as well as test their awesome products. Notable guests included members from Degrassi, Down With Webster, Hedley, and fashion personality Stacy McKenzie. The event  could not have happened without the awesome PR work of Karine Delage and her powerhouse PR team from Karyzma Agency. We are looking forward to next year's MMVA festivities. Until then, here are a few shots of our night:

Delectably Chic Social

To celebrate the 5th anniversary of Delectably Chic!, Cynthia Cheng Mintz, founder and online web editor, hosted a Social to bring together members of the Toronto media and blogging industry. The anticipated Social was held at the Empire Restaurant Lounge located in the heart of Yorkville.
As many of you know, M and I are very petite so we were ecstatic to learn that petite fashion vendors were to be featured at the event. Being tiny has its perks! Here are a few of our favourites:

The M Project is a line of eco-friendly clothing for women, men and children. The brand's philosophy “love yourself and love others" is reflected in the company' s practice of donating a portion of each purchase to charity. We love the concept of this line, as well as the design of the garments. The pieces are produced from eco friendly material, and are luxurious to touch. We love the silhouettes of the pieces. An oversized tee looks fabulous on a petite figure. http://mproject.ca/

Shoe shopping should be fun, right? However, finding shoes that fit our 4.5 size feet is nearly impossible, and hardly an enjoyable experience. The Odd Slipper is a website that offers shoes in sizes 3 through 10. Each week, online readers have the opportunity to vote on new styles featured on theoddslipper.com. The votes determine the shoes that are produced and made available to order on the website. This website offers a variety of styles and colours that are sure to please women of all ages! Order yourself a pair at: www.theoddslipper.com

Allison Izu is a brand of jeans designed especially for women who are 5’6 and shorter. Finding pants that fit us has been a problem for as long as we can remember. What usually fits in the waist, rarely fits in length. Thankfully, Allison has designed a variety of styles and fit of jeans that are perfect for those who are pint sized. Her line has been featured in countless magazines, including The Oprah Magazine. Visit the nearest Nordstrom or order your pair online at: http://www.allisonizu.com/

We love supporting Toronto talent, so we were excited to meet Katherine Song, a Toronto based jewelry designer. Her pieces are true works of art using 'Swarovski Elements'. We both love the details in her uniquely handcrafted jewelry. Song currently designs pieces for celebrities, children and bridal parties. Visit www.katherinesong.com to view her one of a kind designs.

Skinnygirl in the City

It certainly feels like summer in Toronto. Bring on the summer heat, pastel skinnies, stilettos, and low calorie cocktails. High ponytails, manicured nails, and clinks of glasses filled the gorgeous venue of the Drake Hotel to celebrate the expansion of Skinnygirl Cocktails low calorie line. In addition to Bethenny Frankel's growing list of entrepreneurial endeavours, she has successfully created a brand that not only appeals to the calorie conscious woman, but to those who want to 'Drink like a Lady'.

Bethenny Frankel was unable to attend the event so Dina Pugliese, host of Breakfast Television and Canada's Got Talent, was the fabulous guest host for the night. The event kicked off with a video from Bethenny, and was followed by an evening of socializing and cocktails from her Skinnygirl line. The new line will arrive in selected provinces this summer, so keep an eye out ladies!
