Get Your Boots Dirty

The heat of the summer has us longing for the cooler weather that Canada never fails to bring. Fall fashion is our absolute favourite. Leather, knits, and fur, are just a few of our fall staples. We do not, however, have the same love for Canadian winters. When dressing for harsh weather, practicality sometimes trumps trying to look fashionable. That 'effortless chic thrown together look' results in drenched socks, numb fingers, and hair that looks like it has gone through a wind tunnel. Sound familiar?

On July 25, Sorel hosted their Fall/Winter 2012 Media Preview. As soon as we saw the display, a specific pair popped - the Slimpack Riding boots. This particular style combines the elegance of riding boots and the practicality of winter boots. As we are both huge fans of leather boots, this particular boot will definitely be something we will be wearing this coming winter.

T - Shirts with a Voice

Let's admit it, no matter how 'fashionable' you like to think you are, everyone loves to lounge around in his or her favourite tee. When we're not running around the city in sky-high heels, we are at home relaxing in our comfiest clothes.

Recently, we were introduced to an amazing unisex t-shirt line called Global Warming. The masterminds behind this brand, Lauren Shirreffs and Charmaine Joseph, have created a line of luxuries tees that spread bold messages.

"We believe that ignorance often interferes with acceptance and we hope to open minds and hearts one t-shirt at a time."

The girls' line was first introduced to the public at The Field Party in celebration of the 2012 MMVAs. It was no surprise that the tees were a hit. A few weeks later, Global Warming Tees had their official launch party hosted at Maison's gorgeous rooftop.

With a wide variety of slogans available, it's hard to just choose one! What's your favourite? http://www.global-warming.ca/
